Mont Ventoux reigns supreme in the second challenge of the Proximus Cycling eSeries, guaranteeing yet another amazing virtual challenge. From 11 to 20 November inclusive, this mythical mountain in Provence challenges you to take part in the gruelling Ventoux Climbing Clash. Eh? Come again? Read on and find out which fun prizes you can win this time!
During the Mont Ventoux Climbing Clash, you will - yep, you guessed it - tackle the steep ascent to the top of this mountain as many times as you can. It doesn't matter how fast or how slow you are going this time. The main thing is to rack up as many vertical meters as possible at the end of this gruelling 10-day challenge. So the message is to ride up that mountain as many times as you have it in you! We’ve marked out a 7-kilometre segment where just one climb adds a whopping 493 vertical meters to your counter. How many climbs do you think you can manage?
Participate as many times as you can, legs permitting. We give you 10 days to cycle as many vertical meters as possible. Will you be the one with the highest elevation gain by the end of the challenge? Then you will be the lucky winner of a polka dot jersey signed by none other than Thomas De Gendt!
Will you rack up just as many vertical meters (2,416 to be exact) as Thomas De Gendt in 2016 when he was the first to cross the finish line in the Tour stage on Mont Ventoux? In that case, we’ll send you a ticket for a UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup race of your choice*.
